Hassan Merali is the founder of Merali CPA & Business Advisor Inc. He's a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 10 years of accounting, tax, assurance, and business advisory experience. While working with Steven Buchanan as well as in "Big 4" accounting firms, Hassan gained a wealth of experience working with diverse and complex private company clients.
Most recently, he worked in the Private Company Services & High Net Worth group at PwC as a Senior Manager. Hassan is passionate about providing creative, detail-oriented and reliable accounting/tax advice to ensure his clients are successful both personally and in their businesses.
Hassan prides himself on his responsiveness and deep connections with his clients. Family means everything to him, which is why at Merali CPA & Business Advisor Inc. your interactions with Hassan will always be with you and your company's best interests at heart.
Outside of work, Hassan looks forward to outings with his wife and their two boys. He enjoys going for runs in his neighborhood and playing hockey. And while he loves Middle Eastern cuisine, fresh baked Mahmry (fried sweet bread from Mombasa, Kenya) takes the win for favourite comfort food.

Abbas Merali is the Tax Partner at Merali CPA & Business Advisor Inc. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant with years of dedicated experience in the field of tax planning, financial analysis and business advisory.
Abbas brings a tax focus to Merali CPA & Business Advisor Inc. Completing the 3-year tax speciality program with the CPA institute, Abbas has the technical prowess and problem-solving skills to tailor tax strategies to each individual client’s specific circumstance. Specifically, he focuses on assisting owner-managed enterprises with the review of complex personal and corporate tax returns, corporate reorganizations, and estate and succession planning.
In addition to his technical skills, Abbas prides himself with his ability to communicate complex tax/financial concepts in an understandable manner, fostering transparent and collaborative relationships with clients. He is passionate about continuous learning and stays current with the ever-changing Canadian tax legislation.
Outside of his professional life, Abbas enjoys playing hockey, tennis, and going on hikes, which brings a balances perspective to his work and personal life.
